Why We Need NightStyle

What is NightStyle and why do we focus on it? NightStyle is about turning the evening hours into the most fabulous part of your day. It begins with luxurious nightwear, but includes everything that makes you feel comfortable and powerful in your own skin. It’s that incredible night out, your favorite book before bed, your luxurious bed sheets and anything that celebrates the night and creates your ultimate night’s rest: plenty of sound sleep!
But for many of us, the reality of sleep isn’t so sound. The National Sleep Foundation found that the average working woman sleeps only 6 hours and 41 minutes during the workweek, yet most women (and men) need 7 to 9 hours to feel normal. On top of that, women are more likely to have trouble falling and staying asleep, and often have daytime drowsiness during the week.
This exact problem is what Arianna Huffington covers in one of the mia piuma team’s favorite TED Talks. She says not enough sleep means we’re not as productive, happy or decisive as we could be, and that sleep becomes the last priority. Over the years she has learned to take the time to take care of herself and has reaped the benefits.
That is our goal and inspiration here at mia piuma. NightStyle is about celebrating the night as the most fabulous part of each woman's day, and getting a great night’s sleep while looking stunning in luxurious, comfortable and fashionable nightwear.
